- Attend one face-to-face meeting at MAISD on Oct 8, 2012 from
4:30 – 8:30 p.m., Registration at 4:15 p.m. Register and attend one night. - Attend online or watch eight 75 minute webinars – Monday afternoons: 4:00 –5:15 PM.
- Webinars are online and require a high speed Internet connection.
- Complete 21 projects – some with multiple tasks; average 8 – 10 hours per week.
- Eligible for 9 SB-CEUs or 3 graduate credits from GVSU.
- Submit a signed work hour log, submit a project portfolio, and completed evaluation.

Workshop Description
Learn about Web 2.0 tools and educational tools you can immediately being using in your teaching in this practical online course. Participants learn through readings, projects, and live or archived weekly webinars. Learn about online tools being used to support teaching and learning, including: Moodle, wikis, digital storytelling, podcasts, video streaming, and more. The skills taught in this series are based on the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS-T).
Details
All webinars are scheduled for Mondays from 4:00 – 5:15 p.m. Attend by connecting over the Internet from school or home. You are encouraged to attend “live,” however, when this is not possible you may view the webinar in a recorded/archived format. You must attend the required face-to-face meetings at Muskegon Area ISD on October 8, 2012 from 4:30 –8:30 PM. A light dinner will be provided. If you will be using a laptop for this series, you are encouraged to bring it to test software and connections. You will need to have rights to install software. Participants will be given a copy of SnagIt (Windows or OSX) and a Logitech USB headset.
Cost, SB-CEUs and Credit
Cost:
Educators served by Muskegon Area ISD/REMC 4, may attend the entire series for $70.
For educators outside REMC 4, the series is $120.

Register for SB-CEUs at the face-to-face meeting. There is a $20 processing fee.
Credit:
3 graduate credits are available from Grand Valley State University. The cost for the three hours of graduate credit is: $1,626.00 ($15 added for credit card.)

8 - 10 Hours per Week Commitment
This workshop series requires an average commitment of eight – ten hours a week to complete the required assignments. Before you register, consider the time commitment and other time commitments in your life.
